ChorALL: Singing Resources for ALL Voices

Singing is one of the most universally powerful forces that human beings experience. Having experienced the power of song with thousands of people of all ages around the world, Anthony Colosimo, founder, is confident that singing is for everyone, and everyone’s singing voice has value. ChorALL was founded as a means to empower those looking to find how their voice fits into this universal framework.

Anthony is an avid performer, sought-after coach and clinician, and experienced voice teacher and chorus director. Anthony began his pursuit of performing early in life as an eight year old tenor singer in the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). Throughout his youth, Anthony sang solo and choral music of varying styles in church, school, community, and professional choirs. Anthony continued on a track to perform and lead ensembles through high school to his studies for a Bachelor of Music at Christopher Newport University (CNU) in vocal performance and choral music education. While still in school, Anthony was an active singing competitor and performer including first place trophies in NATS solo competitions, regional and international barbershop quartet competitions, and featured performances at CNU including a cameo with Andrea Bocelli in 2005.

After college in 2007, his quartet, Road Trip, won the international youth quartet competition in the BHS. Soon after, he became an assistant director for the Alexandria Harmonizers and began a successful ten year career as a choral director and music educator. Anthony built up and led successful choir programs that consistently achieved superior ratings at competitions and festivals. Over that time, Anthony served as a clinician and coach for dozens of youth festivals and camps including the No Borders Youth Chorus in 2012 and 2013.  He also performed as a professional chorister in multiple choirs including the Master Chorale of Washington under Don McCullough. In 2010, Anthony began an eight year stretch of singing with the award-winning BHS quartet, Da Capo. This quartet eventually won the national Harmony Sweepstakes in 2011 and were finalists in the international BHS quartet competition in 2013 and 2015. Anthony has presented at multiple education conferences, is an active certified singing judge in the BHS, and regularly serves as a BHS Harmony University faculty member.

Through his breadth of singing and conducting experience, Anthony has developed his ability matched with a passion for helping others to find their voice and, through singing, find deeper connections with other human beings. ChorALL is a place where, regardless of background or age, singers can come to find positive, knowledgeable guidance and support for the powerful tool that they already possess - their voice.
